Wireless Edge Protection Plan - FAQ


Q. How much is the monthly payment?
Answer: The monthly plan payment is $8.99/mo plus HST.

Q. Is there a deductible when I file a claim?
Answer: Yes, we charge 30% of the list price of the replacement device and/ or accessories for every approved claim.

Q. What is the maximum claim $ value?
Answer: You can make as many claims as you’d like. You’re covered up to $600 in total claims. Once you reach this your monthly plan automatically ends and you will need to renew your plan on your device.

Q. Is there a time I am not allowed to claim?
Answer: For the first 90 days after your plan becomes active. This period has been put in place to help deter against fraud.

Q. How do I pay the monthly plan and deductible?
Answer: Payments for both will be charged to your credit card on file. Monthly Plan payments will be processed on the same date as your original purchase with AIC Wireless.

Q. What does the Wireless Edge Protection plan cover?
Answer: It covers loss, theft, accidental, physical, and liquid damage on your handset and accessories.

Q. What are the differences between Wireless Edge Protection Plan and other similar programs?
Answer: Similar plans have higher deductibles and your agreement with your provider will be extended if you file a claim. They do not offer a complementary loaner phone, pre-paid shipping, and accessory coverage. Plus we also reimburse 25% of your monthly payments to be applied against your next purchase or upgrade, if you did not file any claims during the term.

Q. I purchased a Client Care Bundle that includes an extended warranty. Do I need to purchase Wireless Edge Protection Plan?
Answer: We recommend getting both. Our bundles only cover manufacturer defects after your original manufacture warranty expires. With a Wireless Edge Protection Plan you'll be covered against loss, theft, accidental physical, and liquid damage on your handset and accessories.

Q. When will my Wireless Edge Protection plan start?
Answer: It starts as soon as your new device is activated on the Bell network and the monthly payments is charged to your credit card.

Q. Can I cancel my plan at anytime?
Answer: Of course! All we need is 30 days' advance notice. You will need to submit your cancelation requests online through a online form. Once your plan has been cancelled, it cannot be renewed and there are no refunds on your monthly payments.

Q. What if my credit card gets declined or changed?
Answer: If your credit card payment is declined, we will try to process the payment two additional times. If we can still not process your payment we will contact you and help you update your credit card information. If we cannot process your payment by the next billing date, your plan will automatically cancel. During this period your plan coverage will be temporarily suspended until we can process your payment.

Q. How long does it take to receive a repaired or replacement handset or accessory?
Answer: We will have your repaired or replaced equipment shipped to you within 15 business days of your claim being approved. You will be provided a loaner phone during this period. You can always check the status of the claim online.

Q. What type of replacement equipment will I get?
Answer: Our first attempt will be to repair the device. If we cannot repair it, we will replace it with the same model. If the same model is not available, we will notify you and provide you with other options on similar devices. We can never guarantee that color, brand, and accessories will be the same if you change models.

Q. Does Wireless Edge Protection Plan cover all types of phones?
Answer: We cover only Bell devices purchased through AIC Wireless, with the exception of the Apple iPhone.

Q. Do I pay for any shipping fee's for claims?
Answer: Shipping is complementary on all approved claims.

Q. How long does it take to complete a claim?
Answer: We provide a 15 business day service guarantee for the entire process i.e. from the date when the claim was filed with supporting information and approved.

Q. Can I get a loaner phone during the claim process?
Answer: Of course! We will provide you with a loaner phone within 24 hours of your claim being approved. A security deposit of $200 on the device will be required and all loaner phones will need to be returned to AIC Wireless within 5 business days after you receive your repaired or replacement device. If we do not receive the loaner phone within this time period you will be charged the replacement list price of the loaner phone.

Q. Does my plan end automatically if I change to another device?
Answer: No. However,s the plan only covers the Bell devices you purchased through AIC Wireless and the registered ESN / IMEI on file. If you upgrade to a new Bell device through AIC Wireless you can choose to renew your plan and coverage on the new device.
